The Utilitas Wind team at a Team Pivotly PAAT team training at the Pärnu Kalev rowing base
Some moments stay with you. We recently spent a day like that with the Utilitas Wind team at a Team Pivotly PAAT team training. From the very first moments in the boat you could see people opening up, and the focus gathering around what united all of us: moving in one rhythm, toward the same goal.
What struck me most was how a team that usually works with wind turbines and energy solutions found an entirely new connection on the water. The boat ride became a mirror: are we moving in sync or not? Are we listening to each other? Are we holding a shared rhythm? The answers came quickly and honestly.
What the team took away
- ✔ A stronger sense of team spirit and shared breathing.
- ✔ A clearer understanding of roles and the impact of responsibility.
- ✔ Inspiration and motivation to take their teamwork to a new level.
Client feedback
„This was the most inspiring team event I’ve ever taken part in. Combining rowing, team analysis and teamwork was an extraordinary experience for the whole Utilitas Wind team. It was especially special when Olympic medallists shared their experience of setting goals and overcoming challenges, both in the mind and in the water.”
— Andrus Zverevski, Utilitas Wind
What I took away
- Real learning is born from experience, not only from discussion.
- When a team finds a shared rhythm on the water, that energy carries over into everyday work collaboration too.
- A leader’s role is to create the conditions where everyone can contribute, and the boat only moves forward when everyone plays their part.
- The best lessons are born when people try something entirely new and experience it together.
Why this day mattered
Utilitas Wind showed that every team, whatever its field, occasionally needs space and a chance to rediscover its shared rhythm. The water tested them and inspired them at the same time, just like everyday life and the business environment do.
How could this bring value to your team?
If you feel your team could also experience this kind of energy and unity, a PAAT team training might be exactly the right solution. It gives a practical experience that’s easy to connect back to everyday work and collaboration.
