Argo Teetlaus with his son Karl Johannes, discussing the development of the Pivotly.ee website and improving the client experience.

Looking back at the past few months of work on my own website, my first honest reaction is relief. For a long time it felt like this project kept dragging on. There was always something more important or more urgent. Still, I knew my page on Pivotly.ee needed a refresh, because the earlier version no longer showcased my strengths or offered clients enough clear value.

This process wasn’t only technical. For me it was also a moment of self-reflection: thinking through what matters most in my experience and my work, and how to convey that to clients in a way that’s understandable and engaging.

Another special part: I got to do this project together with my eldest son, Karl Johannes Teetlaus. He handled design and the technical side, I focused on content and strategy. That kind of collaboration across generations gave the whole process an entirely new dimension, a shared undertaking where we both learned and contributed.

Today I can say the result is a strong whole. My page is now logical, easy to read and SEO-friendly. Most importantly, it reflects my personal story and professional journey in a way that lets a client immediately understand how I can help them.

What I learned along the way

  • 👉 Value is born from clarity. If the message is complicated, the client can’t understand the actual benefit. Simple, clear language always works better.
  • 👉 Technical solutions and content have to go hand in hand. A beautiful page doesn’t work if the text doesn’t speak to people. And good text doesn’t work if the visuals don’t support it. Balance is essential.
  • 👉 Collaboration produces the best result. Without Karl Johannes’s contribution the page certainly wouldn’t have reached this quality. Teamwork gives strength even to a personal project.
  • 👉 Start it, and see it through. Every development project feels big and time-consuming at first. But moving forward step by step makes it possible to build something that actually works.

Why this matters to you

If you lead a company or a team, you’ve surely had a moment where you wonder: does our message reach the right people? Does the team really understand where we’re heading? Building that clarity is the core of my work.

In coaching and in team training alike, I help set the focus and build a shared understanding. The same logic guided updating my own page: everything needs to be clear, understandable and value-creating.
